Jeannie Wyrick, FNP-C
Jeannie was born in Jacksonville, Arkansas, while her Dad was on active duty in the U.S. Air Force. Military service and pride have always been extremely important to her. Jeannie’s paternal grandfather served proudly in the U.S. Army 18th Field Artillery in WWII, The Battle of the Bulge, and the Korean War, her maternal grandfather served proudly in WWII as a hospital corpsman, her father served proudly in the U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force and is a Vietnam Veteran, and her mother served proudly in the U.S. Navy Vietnam era as a W.A.V.E. Jeannie followed in military tradition by joining the U.S. Navy in 1995.She served as a Signalman onboard the U.S.N.S. Patuxent and received honors for exemplary leadership and service with a letter of commendation from a 4-star admiral. While on active duty, she held a secret clearance and was involved in Operation Guardian Retrieval, participated with underway replenishment of U.S. and NATO ships, and received the designation of Emerald Shellback.
In 2001 Jeannie graduated from Great Plains Vo-Tech with acknowledgment of Outstanding Student, an “A” average recognition, and became a Licensed Practical Nurse. In 2007 she graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Science and started working as a Registered Nurse. She has worked for the Oklahoma Department of Veteran’s Affairs, a private practice nephrologist, Comanche Memorial Hospital, and more recently spent almost a decade working for the Department of Veteran’s Affairs. In 2019 she graduated cum laude from Bradley University with a Master of Science in Nursing and obtained national certification from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau honor society. Jeannie enjoys spending time with her family, her two rambunctious dogs, attending classic rock music events, and traveling. As a lifelong resident of Lawton, she was pleased to join the Allergy E.N.T. Institute in 2020.
